LUKE LEGACY FUND

Hello Friends,

In August, 2015 our family received the difficult news that our 15 year old son Luke had a cancerous tumor in his lower right leg.  Luke's cancer had spread (5 or 6 random small tumors), making his condition much more serious.  The type of cancer Luke had is very rare...only about 400 people right now in the US have it.  After two years of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, Luke passed away on September 6th, 2017.  We are devastated by this loss, and thankful for God's grace in saving Luke into an eternal relationship with Jesus.

Our prayer has been simple: God heal our boy. (James 5:14-16)  Our hope, of course, is in Jesus. (I Peter 1:3)  Our times are in His hands. (Psalm 31:15)  Luke was and is a child of God, saved by grace through His faith in Jesus. (Ephesians 2:8-9)  As much as we hated all of this (and we did!), we trust God, and we are so grateful for His love that we have experienced through His Word and His Saints.

At Luke's request we have established the Luke Legacy Fund, which will provide kids in Michigan with affordable access to a Young Life camp experience.
